Love to Knit!

"Life is too short to be bothered knitting something you don't love." -E.C.

I truly love to knit. Some projects naturally cause frustration, but if I just never want to pick up the project then it isn't worth knitting. I pretty much have the same theory about life in general. This is one of the many reasons why I feel so blessed to be doing something I love with Queen Bee Classics!

Knitting as a distraction

"I do some of my best thinking about life and a lot of different things when I'm knitting. My mind is someplace else rather than just sitting there in the living room." Mary Pendleton

I didn't have such a great day today. In fact it has been a difficult week. I have always found myself picking up my knitting to occupy myself. Sometimes even a simple pattern occupies your mind because you are thinking about the stitches in you work instead of the knots in your life.

A new look!

As you can see, the blog has a new look. A friend of a friend was nice enough to work on this awesome template for the Queen Bee Classics Blog. I think it compliments the look of the Facebook page and what I imagine for the Etsy store as well. Thinks are coming together nicely and we will be up and running very soon! Thank you Brandie and Kerry!

Knitting as personal expression.

"The information is now in your hands for you to enjoy in the way that suits you best. Learn it all, or learn a little -- the choice is yours. Have fun.”
Montse Stanley

Often the prospect of learning to knit or of learning a new stitch or technique can be very intimidating. It is important to remember to challenge yourself, continue to strive for improvement, and most importantly to have fun!

A new (ad)venture

Good evening! My name is Dara and I am excited to introduce myself and my company to you through this blog. My company is called Queen Bee Classics. I am busy getting started, working hard on administrative and advertising work as well as creating classy merchandise that I hope you will love as much as I do. I am very much looking forward to working with my passion, which is creating things that are beautiful. I have been knitting for quite some time and have recently been inspired to knit unique and attractive jewelry. I will also be creating unique pieces using buttons, charms and other materials. The sky is the limit! I hope you will follow me on this journey.
